Welcome to N° 9
N° 9 is a feature set for roleplay accessories, such collars and necklaces, that can be used on the Second Life® virtual world platform.
Among other things it enables greater interactivity in between avatars (Second Life® game characters) by providing greater options than there are available in the Second Life® viewer (game client). N° 9 also supports features that make use of RLVa, an additional protocol enabling even greater interactivity, which is only available in popular third party viewers, such as Catznip, Firestorm and Restrained Love.
The most popular applications of the N° 9 are granting friends and lovers teleport rights, sharing ones favorite outfits by granting others dress (and strip) rights, playing emotive poses, and exploring unique extras, such as giving them a nickname, or enabling visual effects.

Features
The many unique features of N° 9 are best explored in due time. There is much to discover even for those of us who aren't new to collars.
Below you will find a list of features with a short description.

Lock
The lock can be open, closed, or even welded. RLV makes the collar undetachable when it is locked or welded.
Access Control
N° 9 offers various levels and types of access. You can add trusted playmates, grant administrative owner level access. Even authorizing large groups or the entire public are possible, all that within reasonable limits to keep the user experience predictable, pleasant and safe.
Heartcore Mode
Users who enjoy alternative lifestyles can simulate a completely safe "Total Power Exchange" experience on Second Life®. Heartcore mode transforms the N° 9 from kinky-cute toy into the ultimate tool to enable intense power exchange dynamics for discerning couples.
¹ This feature is part of N° 9 Premium. If the collar didn't already include this feature out-of-the-box, it has to be unlocked with a Premium Version installer first.
Capture Roleplay
With the "Kidnap Mode" avatars can grant temporary access by allowing their neck to be touched by others. The feature is highly sophisticated and can be applied to multiple situations. N° 9 users can either be asked to grant temporary access with a confirmation pop-up, or let themselves be "grabbed" by surprise. It can also be used for playing tag where access is granted by bumping into each other.
Leash
The N° 9 has a robust leash that will allow one avatar to drag another all over the place. The weight, length, and look of the leash can be configured in multiple ways. The leash has a RLV powered "Strict" option, it can be tinted, changed into a solid looking silk band for screenshot art, or with the Magic Leash fully transformed into cute looking custom shapes, such as hearts, flowers, stars and many more.
Strip
Formerly known as "Strippy", the new Strip feature is unique to our line products. It allows avatars with Owner or Trust access rights to undress the user of the N° 9. A must-have for couples who want a more out of their adult roleplay experience beside typing text emotes.
Poses
N° 9 has an integrated pose player and micro AO (Animation Overrider). Users can pose themselves, or be put into poses by authorized avatars. The selection of poses varies per accessory, with our in-house selection featuring some of the best poses available on Second Life®. Selected collars with the N° 9 feature set also include a "puppy crawl overrider" that activates itself when a pose is played. On top of that the pose player can adjust the avatar's "hover height" by utilizing the RLV protocol - great for wearing heels or playing ground poses.
Sit!
Authorized avatars can sit the user on furniture with the RLV driven "Force Sit" feature, but not just that - in a power exchange dynamic, the sitting can be set to "strict", which means that the user is glued to the spot until they are allowed to stand up again. The logic is extremely robust and will survive relogging, and users can't "cheat out" by logging into a different region than the one where they were sat down last.
Teleport Rights
Users of N° 9 can grant other "force teleport" rights to authorized avatars. These rights are granted by default to avatars with Owner level access, but they can also be granted to those with Trust level. Teleport rights mean that the user can simply be spirited away instead of first having to accept teleport offers. To keep things interesting for capture roleplay, the temporary owner role has non-revocable TP rights.
RLV Relay
This feature can receive RLV commands from outside sources, such as beds, cages and traps, to have the collar relay them to the Second Life® viewer. Why would this be necessary? The way the RLV protocol functions, only those commands coming from objects that belong to the user can be received by their viewer. In any other case anyone could send any commands to cause mischief. Collar N° 9 uses proprietary technology that includes many safety rules and filters to ensure a safe RLV experience. It is the safest RLV relay on the market.
Restrictions
Restrictions are simple on/off switches for avatar abilities, such as touching, talking, hearing, or sending IM messages. Thanks to its simplicity and ease of use this RLV powered feature can be seamlessly used in combination with text emoting during roleplay situations.
Shared Folders
Users can share access to their favorite toys with authorized avatars, who can browse a fast and responsive menu to attach, lock and detach the items. Users have their own private directory for quick access to props via simple chat commands. No more inventory digging!
Outfits
Access to outfits can be shared through directories inside of the #RLV folder. Creating an outfit is simply done by using the standard Second Life viewer tools to save and named the outfit, and then dragging into #RLV/> Outfits. N° 9 outfits also honor BoM layer ranking.
Bell
Accessory with a "bell" has also a feature to match. Users can choose in between multiple sounds for the bell, ranging from the most subtle of tinkles, to hugely annoying and loud cow bell noises. Don't worry, the volume and other settings can be easily adjusted in a menu.
Titler
N° 9 collars have a text element that can display hover text, or "titles", above the avatar's head. This text can be set by others who have access to the collar. Unicode symbols work too, and there is a new title lock that will prevent the user from changing the title on their own.
Chatiquette
The dictator's choice for modern 21st century censorship. Chatiquette can enforce chat rules, such as compelling the user speak certain words, or preventing from speaking words and phrases. Users will be reminded about these rules by an electric charge if necessary. Great!
¹ This feature is part of N° 9 Premium. If the collar didn't already include this feature out-of-the-box, it has to be unlocked with a Premium Version installer first.
Little Hearts
Avatars with Owner level access play special role in our lives. With "Little Hearts" the N° 9 produces gentle heart shaped sprites when these avatars get close to us. Those of us in alternative lifestyles might be familiar with color codes. The hearts can be set as different colors allowing us to express our mood and feelings without necessarily having to speak things out loud. Wouldn't that be nice in real life?

Magic Leash
Everyone who might not be into chains can change their leash into colorful shapes, such as hearts, flowers or stars with this feature.

Sobriquet
A "sobriquet" is a nickname that a person receives not necessarily by their own choosing. Avatars with access rights can give the user such a nickname. Users can then speak with that name, similar to using a Display Name, but with the ability to change it unlimited times.

Tracker
Users can optionally allow themselves to be tracked by avatars with Owner level access. This is especially useful for couples because when the one logs in, the other receives an email¹ letting them know about the login event. It saves everyone from obsessively refreshing their friend list on their secondlife.com User Dashboard, or staying permanently logged in only to know when their lover is finally online. Teleporting can be tracked as well. Avatars with Owner level access can configure the tracker when the user has Heartcore mode enabled.
¹ For this feature to work users have to check "I would like to receive offline IMs via Email" on the Change Email Settings page of their User Dashboard on secondlife.com.
² This feature is part of N° 9 Premium. If the collar didn't already include this feature out-of-the-box, it has to be unlocked with a Premium Version installer first.
Version Control
N° 9 is connected to a version control system that allows users to check in the About menu if there are any updates available. Updates are fully optional, and users won't be bothered with repetitive spam or notifications about update availability like in some competing products.
Stealth Mode
Accessories featuring N° 9 can be put into a "stealth mode". The look of the accessory is temporarily stored in the memory, so even features, such as glow, can be fully hidden from view. This mode is popular with users who wish to wear a cosmetic-only necklace atop of a stealthed, scripted, more "severe" looking collar that is only revealed for intense play sessions. We perfectioned this use case in the N° 9.
Safe Reboot
We all know that the Second Life® platform can be a highly volatile environment, but of course that doesn't make us love it any less. Over the years most of us have picked up a few tricks to resolve common issues arising from crashes, or botched sim restarts and teleports. One of these tricks is to make use of the Build Tools to reset scripts. In the N° 9 you will never have to use the Build Tools again to restart scripts, with its robust reboot logic you are able to reset and restart scripts in the "About" menu, all without losing any of your settings.
Resizer
The N° 9 feature set comes with all new resizing logic based on "scale by factor". Accessories can be non-destructively resized while staying centered. Our logic is so small and efficient that it doesn't even require its own script, relieving the Second Life® server of load.
Color Changer
Selected collars can make use of an integrated "Look" menu where the color and other cosmetic features of the design can be configured.
