Granting Access
In the previous chapter we learned how to get into play and grant temporary access through the "Kidnap" feature.
Now it's time to learn how to add avatars we want to keep around for a little longer.
Now it's time to learn how to add avatars we want to keep around for a little longer.
A submissive's choice
The collar wearer has access to every feature. N° 9 abides to a submissive's choice philosophy. In this case that means that the wearer of the collar chooses who they add to their collar, who they remove, and how long they allow themselves to be restricted by any RLV features.
Heartcore ModeBefore we move on any further, we have to clearly distinguish in between using N° 9 with, or without, the Heartcore mode enabled.
Everyone who felt a little turned off by the above statement of the "submissive's choice" wants to use Heartcore. It is really that simple. In a nutshell, activating Heartcore is a one-time consent to pass all rights to avatars who were added to the Owner list. While this doesn't lock the submissive out of everything, they will then no longer be able to simply undo what has been set by the Owners. They can't open the lock anymore, or add other avatars on their own, and they can no longer undo restrictive measures without help. |
I trust you ♥With that out of the way, let's add someone to our collar's Trust list.
Avatars on the Trust list have access to everything the N° 9 has to offer, all the features, knobs, and levers, with two small exceptions: They cannot configure privacy sensitive features, such as the Tracker, and they can't perform administrative tasks, like adding or removing other avatars to the collar's access lists. The "+ Trust" button opens a menu with avatars who are standing close, and clicking the numbered buttons will add those avatars. The "Enter Name" option is for adding avatars who are currently not nearby. It opens a text box where the avatar's username has to be entered. Once submitted there will be an additional confirmation pop-up that shows a link to the avatar's profile. This is so you can make sure that you are adding the right avatar! |
The OwnerWhen we talk about the "Owner" in N° 9, we refer to an avatar who has been granted access rights that are as if this avatar actually owned the collar themselves. Owners can do almost everything.
They can add and remove other avatars, and configure every setting of the collar. Owners are the only role that can disable Heartcore mode, and unlock and open the main lock of the collar. With Heartcore mode enabled this role is so powerful that an "Owner" can quite literally control every aspect of the submissive's second life, including privacy sensitive tracking features. That is why the Heartcore mode can only be enabled by the submissive. |
Don't damage public propertyFinally, there are two more ways of granting access to others.
The Group and Public access modes. In N° 9 these access modes are very limited, and we encourage users to rather choose "Kidnap" mode with the risky option enabled if a play style along the lines of "grab me and do what you want to me" is desired. Nevertheless these access modes remain useful for clubs, and scripted agents, such as bots or AFK dolls. Avatars accessing through Group or Public mode can:

The way out is throughIf you ever need to remove someone from your access list it is best to let the other person know. Ghosting someone is not cool.
Sometimes though it can't be avoided because you might not have the mental capacity, or emotional resources available for a drawn out chat drama, or you were treated poorly and just want to be done with it, and for those scenarios the N° 9 has two solutions. You can either run away in the "classic sense" that sends a notification to the previous Owners, or quietly slip away. Please do this responsibly, and keep in mind that other avatars are indeed human beings (most of them). With Heartcore mode you can't run away when the collar is locked, and the only way out is through. |
